- What the code holds
- A link to the RSVP or event page (Paperless Post, Evite, Partiful, a Google Form). Or a calendar event: our event code holds the title, place and times, and the phone offers "Add to Calendar".
- Print size
- 0.75 to 1 in on a 5 x 7 in invitation, 0.6 in on an A2 card or a reply card.
- Scan distance
- Invitations are scanned in hand, under a foot away.
- What breaks it
- Metallic inks and foil on the code, glitter card stock, and dark card with a light code printed on it. Print the code in dark, flat ink on a light area.

Questions
Can a QR code add my event to guests' calendars?
Yes. Make an event code: it holds the event name, place and start and end times, and iPhone and Android cameras offer to add it to the calendar.
How small can the code be on an invitation?
About 0.75 in for a link of normal length. Short links and dynamic codes can go a little smaller.
Can I change the details after the invitations are mailed?
With a dynamic code, yes: the RSVP page or the new venue is one link change away. A calendar code cannot change once printed.
Will older guests know to scan it?
Most phone cameras scan codes without an app. Add a short line like "Scan to RSVP" and print the web address in small text too.
