- What the code holds
- A forms.gle short link to your form. In the form press Send, choose the link tab and tick "Shorten URL".
- Print size
- 1 in on handouts, 2 in on table cards, 4 in on a door sign.
- Scan distance
- In hand for handouts; 3 to 5 ft for a sign.
- What breaks it
- Sign-in walls. Forms limited to your organisation, or that collect verified emails, make people sign in to Google first, and many give up. Long pre-filled links also make the code dense; use the short link or a dynamic code.
Questions
Why do people have to sign in to answer my form?
The form is set to collect verified emails or to accept only your organisation's users. In Settings, switch email collection to "Responder input" or off, and remove the organisation limit, if you can.
Can one form show which location the code was at?
Yes. Make a pre-filled link with the location answered (the three dots, then "Get pre-filled link") and give each location its own code.
Can I change where my Google Forms QR code goes after printing?
Yes, if you make it dynamic. The printed code points at a short link we keep for you, and you can change the destination any time from your dashboard. A free static code prints the link itself and can never change.
Can my Google Forms QR code look like art?
