This template

Colours
Dots #7d3f14, corners #552a0d, background #fffaf2.
Contrast
7.8:1 between the dots and the background. Above 4.5:1 reads reliably in dim rooms; plain black on white is 21:1.
Shapes
Rounded dots and leaf corners. The corner squares keep a crisp outer edge, which phone scanners use to find the code.
Frame
Label below reading "Visitor Guide". A short instruction next to a code gets more scans than a code alone.
Extras
A linear gradient on the dots: #7d3f14 to #7d142b. The label sits above the code. A small scan icon beside the label.
Palette
Trailhead rust: see every style in this palette.
Good for
Visitor centers, trail maps and park signs.
