Art QR Codes

Features Smart routing

One printed code, different links by time, place or phone

Send the same printed code to the lunch menu at noon and the dinner menu at six, to a Texas page for scans in Texas, to the App Store on iPhones, or split scans between two versions to see which works better.

By time of day

Up to six time slots per code, each with its own link, in your local US time zone.

By day of the week

Weekend brunch, weekday lunch, happy hour on Fridays.

By phone type

iPhone and Android users can go to different links (for example the two app stores).

By state or country

Up to four places per code: a US state, or Canada, Mexico, the UK or Puerto Rico. Approximate, from the scanner's internet address, looked up on our own server.

By language

Send Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and other phones to a page in their language, read from the phone's own language setting.

Inside social apps

A separate link for scans opened inside the Instagram, Facebook or TikTok in-app browser.

A/B tests

Send a share of scans (1 to 99%) to a second version and compare the results.

Ready-made presets

Lunch and dinner, weekend brunch, weekday happy hour, night and business hours fill the time slots in one click.

Default link

Outside every rule, the code opens its normal link.

Questions

Which time zone do the slots use?
The one you pick for the code: Eastern, Central, Mountain, Arizona, Pacific, Alaska or Hawaii.
Can a slot run past midnight?
Yes. A slot from 22:00 to 02:00 covers late night.
What if two slots overlap?
The first matching slot in your list wins, so put the most specific one first.
Can I route by location?
Yes, by US state or by country. It is approximate: it comes from the internet address, so phones on some mobile networks or VPNs can show up in a neighbouring state.
How does the A/B test pick?
Each scan is assigned at random with the share you set, for example 30% to version B. Compare the visits on each page in your analytics.
