Questions

Can every UPC-A be printed as UPC-E?
No. Only numbers with the right run of zeros compress to UPC-E. GS1 US tells you if yours does.
Do stores scan UPC-E?
Yes. Checkout scanners expand it back to the full 12-digit number automatically.
What should I type?
The 7 digits before the check digit (or all 8). We add the check digit and decode the result before you download it.
