Art QR Codes

QR codes by use Resumes

QR code for a resume: portfolio, LinkedIn or work samples

A resume has one page to make the case. A small code in the header can open the portfolio, the case studies or the LinkedIn profile that make the rest of it.

Free and static: paste your link, download SVG or PNG, no sign-up, never expires. Want art, a link you can change later and scan counts? Make it an art code.

Your code appears here as you type.

QR codes for resumes: the facts

What the code holds
A link to your portfolio, LinkedIn profile, GitHub or a video introduction. A dynamic code lets you swap the portfolio for a role-specific page per application.
Print size
0.7 to 0.9 in, in the header or beside your contact details.
Scan distance
A printed resume is scanned on a desk, 10 to 14 inches away.
What breaks it
Applicant tracking systems read text, not images, so the code is invisible to them. Always write the link as text too, and make it a clickable link in the PDF.

Make it art, tested to scan

We paint the code into a picture in your colours, then test it with three decoders under 16 print and phone conditions before you can download it.

Your codes outlive your subscription

Cancel and dynamic codes keep pointing at your last link. Read the promise.

Questions

Should I put a QR code on my resume?
It helps on printed copies at interviews and career fairs. For online applications it is ignored by the software, so include the same link as text.
Where should the code go?
In the header next to your contact details, about 0.8 in square. Keep it small enough not to take space from your experience.
What should it open?
The strongest proof of your work: a portfolio, a case study or a short video. LinkedIn is fine if your profile is detailed.
Can I see if a recruiter scanned it?
With a dynamic code, yes: you see each scan with the time and approximate city.
