Colours: Dots #222222, corners #222222, background #ffffff.
Contrast: 15.9:1 between the dots and the background. Above 4.5:1 reads reliably in dim rooms; plain black on white is 21:1.
Shapes: Square dots and square corners. The corner squares keep a crisp outer edge, which phone scanners use to find the code.
Frame: No frame: the plainest option, best for small prints and long distances.
Good for: Anything that must scan from far away or print on cheap paper.
